JOM: Established in 1934The JOM Act provided the Secretary of the Interior with the authority to arrange the States or territories for the education, medical attention, agricultural assistance, relief of distress and social welfare of the Indian and for other purposes.

JOM: Mission StatementThe Johnson O'Malley Program financially assists those efforts designed to meet the specialized and unique educational needs of eligible Indian students, including programs supplemental to the regular school program.

JOM Eligibility: "Eligible American Indian and Alaska Native students who are enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe or at least one-fourth or more degree of Indian blood descendant of a member of a federally recognized Indian tribal government are eligible for services from the Bureau. In addition, eligibility requires these children be between age 3 through grades 12, with priority given to children residing on or near an Indian reservation. "
JOM Eligibility: Requirements
Complete and submit a current JOM application with supporting documents:
1) Documentation showing student of Dulce Independent Schools or JCFEC/Head Start
2) Student CIB of 1/4 Indian blood, or birth certificate and parents CIB to show blood lineage
3) Students must be 3 years old to 12th grade
